Our Commitment

Advances in Inclusive Education Research (AIER) is a fully open access journal. All articles published in AIER are immediately and permanently free to read, download, share, and distribute at no cost to the reader. We do not operate any subscription model or paywall of any kind. AIER is founded on the principle that high-quality research should be freely accessible to everyone, regardless of institutional affiliation, geographic location, or financial means. We believe that open access to peer-reviewed scholarship accelerates the dissemination of knowledge, promotes equity in education globally, and maximises the social and practical impact of research. This commitment is especially important in the field of inclusive education, where research findings must reach practitioners, policymakers, and educators in diverse and under-resourced settings around the world.

Licence & Copyright

All articles published in AIER are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). Under this licence, readers and users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of all articles, and to use them for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the journal as the source of publication. Authors retain full copyright of their published work. By submitting to AIER, authors grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Authors are actively encouraged to deposit their accepted manuscripts in institutional repositories or open subject repositories such as ERIC or ResearchGate immediately upon publication.

No Article Processing Charges

AIER does not charge authors any article processing fees, submission fees, or publication charges of any kind. We believe that financial barriers should never prevent the dissemination of valuable research. Authors from all institutions and countries are equally welcome to submit their work without any financial obligation. This is particularly important for researchers based in lower-income countries and early-career academics who may not have access to research funding. AIER is committed to remaining free to publish and free to read for the foreseeable future.
